12) I’ve heard that you have a Literary Arts Option, is this true for students coming into Grade 8?
The Literary Arts option is a senior option and only available to students in Grades 11 and 12. We are limited to 84 students per grade and we audition students for each department (Drama, Media Arts, Band, Choir, Strings, and Visual Arts). After Grade 10 we designate one English class at each grade level as a Literary Arts class. Students are recommended based on their achievement in English 10 and/or a writing sample provided during the school year. One or two students may be accepted directly into Literary Arts in Grades 11 to 12 each year if space is available.
