8) I applied in two areas. How did you decide on which one to put me in?
We put you in your first choice, unless you ranked much higher in your second. Often applicants are stronger in one area than another. Sometimes one department is more competitive than another. In the cases where an applicant qualified successfully in their second choice and not their first choice we will only be able to offer this second choice of seat. Opportunities to take electives in the other area of interest are available in such a circumstance.
